This project only cost me $1 for the bat
Supplies
Step 1
Now because my bat was original a bright orange, I started off by giving it a base coat of white paint, now I used acrylic because it was all I had, but you could also use spray paint.
Step 2
Then I brushed on some light brown paint, I like to brush it on instead of spray painting it, because the brushstrokes give it a nice wood grain look.
Step 3
Next I sketched, and painted on the harlequin pattern around the base of the bat.
Step 4
Then I traced on the Good Night from a font I found online
Step 5
I then painted it in with some red acrylic paint and then lightly dry brushed some black paint over the letters as well as the top and bottom bands of the harlequin pattern.
Finishing
Next I used my sharpies to hand write the script on the back of the bat
Also, I took some black paint and put it on my hands, then once it had dried a bit, I rubbed them along the white fabric to make it look a bit dirty.
