This project cost me about $8
Supplies
(First method) Step 1
First I will show you the easier method and the method I will be using from now on. This is not how I did my Mettaton boots, but I wish I would have done it this way. First find a long sleeve shirt that is the color you want, and make sure the sleeve are a little bit longer than your boot. Cut the sleeve off of the shirt and slide it over your boot, have the hem that was attach to the shirt, be the part that will rest on the bottom of your shoe.
Step 2
Next just pinch and sew along the bottom of your boot, stopping once you reach the heel. I just used a overcast stitch to hold it together, and make sure you get the fabric snug against the heel.
(second method) Step 1
Now for the method I used, I cut out two large piece of my pink fabric
Step 2
I then folded over one edge of one piece, and stitched it from the top of the boot, all the way down the middle of the boot, as far as I could get. For what I couldn't sew, I used hot glue.
Step 3
I then folded over the other end of the fabric, and stitched it all the way down the middle of the back of the boot, stopping just above the heel.
Step 4
I also stitched it around the top
Step 5
I did the same for the other piece of fabric to the other side, making sure I didn't stitch the zipper.
Step 6
I then used hot glue down the middle of the front and back where I couldn't sew, as well as around the sole of the boot on either side.
finishing
I cut the fabric so that I could access the zipper, and after folding over the raw edges, I glued those down as well.
This is what my boots looked like once I was finished, they didn't look bad, but the first method would have been much easier.
These are boot covers using the easier method.
